What is Methadone

Methadone is a drug that is designed for the treatment of opiate addiction, and sometimes prescribed as pain relief.

Methadone programs are used strictly for opioid-related addiction.

This does not assist in cocaine and cannabis addictions.

Methadone is still a highly addictive substance designed to be tapered down in doses to assist those addicted to opiates. If misused or consumed by someone other than the prescribed patient; methadone can also result in a fatal overdose.

ALWAYS follow the direction and discretion of your treatment provider.
